A fold on framing, siding/roofing and materials stages holding three itemised lists: Extra Materials (what and why), Missing Materials (what, reason, details) and Damaged Materials (what, cause, details, replacement). Each list shows a count and can be opened or closed.
Also called: short shipped · damaged material · missing parts · material shortage · leftover material
- 1Items are stored as arrays on the stage's field data with generated ids
- 2Adding and removing an item writes the whole list back through the stage field updater
- 3The section header shows either the item count or 'Tap to report'
Short shipments, damaged panels and the wrong trim are the most common reason a post-frame stage slips, and they were reported by phone call to whoever picked up. Nothing was written down, so the supplier conversation ran on memory against a supplier with paperwork, and 'which supplier costs us the most days' had no answer at all. Material problems are recorded item by item against the stage they held up.
- Material discrepancies recorded only in conversation
- No evidence trail for a supplier claim
