Your call list — the ones you added and the ones you owe

One queue merging calls you deliberately added with missed calls nobody has returned, so the expensive half can't be forgotten.

What it is

The Queue tab in the phone and the badge on the phone button. It combines call tasks — added on purpose from anywhere in the app, with a note and an urgency — with open missed-call episodes. Each row can be dialled or marked done in one tap.

01

The calls you meant to make and the calls you missed are one list

A queue that only holds what people remembered to add quietly misses the expensive half. This one merges calls added on purpose with missed calls nobody has returned yet, each row with a Call button and a Done button. It is the list a builder works down standing in a driveway, not a scrap of paper on the dash.

CallDone
Two kinds of row in one list — a missed call with a voicemail, and a follow-up somebody queued on purpose. The real screen, drawn from the product’s own design system. Sample data — no customer information appears here.
02

Plan tomorrow's calls straight down the pipeline

A Queue call button on a contact or a pipeline card puts someone on the list without opening the phone at all, with a note and an urgency if that call needs them. Fifteen people to ring tomorrow used to mean fifteen trips through a dialer.

03

Give a call to a teammate with the reason attached

The same control assigns the call to another person on the team, carrying the note and the urgency across. Because it fires from a contact, the task arrives linked to that customer instead of as a bare phone number nobody recognises.

04

The phone button in the header carries how many people are waiting

It refreshes in the background and again the moment a call ends, so nobody has to open anything to find out whether there is work outstanding. Queued calls are ordinary tasks, so the same work also shows in the task list against the right person rather than rotting in a private store nobody else can see.

How it works
  1. 1Call tasks are ordinary rows in `tasks` with source='call_queue', so they carry urgency, a note, a due date and contact linkage for free and appear in the Task Hub
  2. 2Missed calls come from open, qualified response_episodes
  3. 3A missed call that also has a call task is shown once — the task wins because it carries the human's note
  4. 4Marking a task done deletes it; marking a missed call done closes the episode
Why we built it

Two separate lists meant the same thing to a builder standing in a driveway: people they had decided to ring, and people whose call they had missed and never returned. Keeping them apart meant the queue only ever showed what somebody had remembered to add, quietly leaving out the expensive half. One queue merges both, built on the same tasks everyone else can see rather than a private list that rots where nobody notices.

The problem
  • Call lists kept outside the system
  • Missed calls and intended calls tracked separately
  • Work invisible to the rest of the team
