Every channel, every account, one screen

A fleet view of email, text and voice for every builder account, derived from the sender's own resolution rules so it cannot claim a channel is broken while it is quietly working.

What it is

One screen consolidating what used to be three tabs. Each account shows, per channel, the effective provider, the provider chain behind it, whether it is inherited, what is waiting on approval, a plain summary and a health state. The agency's own row sits at the top with the customers.

The account rows with three channel cells each (email / sms / voice), health-coloured, one expanded to show the provider chain and a pending carrier approval. Sample data — no customer information appears here.
How it works
  1. 1Every cell is derived from the shared communications matrix using the same rules the sender uses at send time.
  2. 2The chain is shown, not just the winner, so 'why does it send from that address' has an answer.
  3. 3Health is one of ok, attention, blocked or not started, with an attention list pulled out above.
  4. 4The agency's own account is listed with the customers deliberately.
Why we built it

The page explains both the consolidation and the derivation: splitting it 'meant the one question an operator actually asks — "who can this builder reach, and through what?" — required three screens and still didn't answer it, because none of them showed the provider chain that decides what really happens.' And: 'this screen cannot say a channel is unconfigured while it is quietly working — which is exactly what the old view did to Barnhouse's texting.' The agency row is there because 'are we set up as well as the people paying us?' was previously unanswerable without opening a different page.

The problem
  • Channel state was spread over three screens and still incomplete.
  • A working channel could be reported as unconfigured.
  • Nothing showed which provider a message would actually leave through.
