A merge picker inside the card modal listing every other card on the active board with its stage and value. On confirm, the source card is removed and its data backfills the target wherever the target is empty. The underlying contact merge — notes, tasks, stage promotion, estimate link transfer — runs too, and a redundant CRM opportunity is deleted.
Also called: merge duplicate deals · same customer twice · combine leads
- 1The picker searches by name and shows each candidate's stage colour, stage title, value and whether it has an estimate
- 2Existing values on the kept card win; the source only fills gaps
- 3Contact-level merge handles notes, tasks, estimate link and archives the secondary
- 4Card-level transfer still runs when a contact cannot be resolved, so the visible cards always consolidate
Duplicate review only groups contacts that share an email or a phone number, so two cards for the same person created at different times with different details sat side by side and nothing noticed. A merge now works card to card: pick which one to keep from a searchable list, and the other's estimate, value, contact details, notes and tasks fold into it. Merging two cards belonging to the same underlying person used to silently do nothing, because the match ran on the person rather than on the card and both cards resolved to the same first match.
- Duplicates that share no email or phone and so evade automatic detection
- Sibling opportunities silently failing to merge
- Notes and tasks stranded on the card you delete
