Lead Strength Grade

One five-level grade a rep sets by hand — Dead, Weak, Qualified, Strong, Ready to Close — that tags the card and filters the board.

What it is

A manual qualification grade with written definitions. Qualified means a legitimate post-frame project with basic requirements confirmed but budget, financing, timeline or decision maker still to validate. Strong means responsive, realistic budget, defined project, clear timeline, meaningful buying intent. Ready to Close means estimate reviewed, objections resolved, approaching contract or deposit. Dead means no realistic path to a sale, and it removes the card from the board.

How it works
  1. 1Set from the card modal; the grade writes through to the underlying contact so it follows the person
  2. 2The grade renders as a coloured pill on the card face and drives a board-wide filter
  3. 3Choosing Dead asks for confirmation first because it hides the lead from the board
  4. 4Each grade shows its own written definition under the buttons so two reps grade the same way
Why we built it

Two overlapping quality systems ran at once — a status of Dead, Cold, Warm or Hot alongside a separate strength grade — so two reps could disagree about the same lead and both be reading a real field. They were merged into one five-level grade a rep sets by hand: Dead, Weak, Qualified, Strong, Ready to Close. Marking a lead Dead asks for confirmation first, because a dead lead leaves the board.

The problem
  • Two competing quality scales meaning the same lead reads two ways
  • No shared definition of what 'qualified' means
  • Dead leads cluttering a working board
