A selection model over structures (main building, or one lean-to/porch) plus a chip switcher above the viewport. With nothing selected there are no shell tabs at all; clicking the grass puts them down again.
Also called: structure switcher · select the lean-to · declutter controls
- 1sceneHandleRegistry() applies the declutter rule in one auditable place.
- 2An opening selection outranks everything: that opening's edge tabs (and the distribute joints for a 3+ row) are the only handles drawn.
- 3Selecting a structure draws only its shell tabs — the building's four, or one addition's six.
- 4Walk mode drops the shell tabs entirely (you are standing inside them) while opening tabs stay.
- 5The chip switcher only appears when there are additions to switch between.
With a lean-to and a porch attached, the idle screen showed fourteen sets of controls at once, all competing with the building the builder was trying to look at. Selecting a structure scopes the handles and panels to that structure alone, so the main building, each addition and each opening get the screen in turn. Nothing was taken away to achieve it.
- Every structure showing every handle simultaneously makes all of them unusable.
