The full unwind, distinct from a single-charge refund: it cancels the subscription and tears down what the signup created. The dialog shows whether the payment is inside the 72-hour window and, if not, says the refund is at the operator's discretion.
Also called: cancel my subscription · refund the deposit · 72 hour window · undo a signup
- 1Pick a reason from a shared list; the confirm button stays disabled until one is chosen.
- 2Add an optional note that is stored with the archive record.
- 3Inside the window: 'Within the 72-hour refund window (paid 14h ago). Full refund of $10,000.'
- 4Past it: an amber warning naming how many days ago it was paid.
- 5Archived rows keep the reason, the note and the refunded amount visible.
A cancellation and a goodwill refund used to be the same button. Splitting them left this one owning the destructive path, with the window state shown rather than remembered — and a reason enforced, because an archived signup with no reason is the record most likely to be re-litigated later.
- Cancelling and refunding were not reliably done together.
- The refund window's state was remembered rather than shown.
- Archived signups had no stated reason.
