A two-step confirmation (yes/no, then type the exact words 'delete account') that stamps a deletion time rather than deleting anything. The account leaves the client list immediately and lives only under the 'Scheduled deletion' filter with a live countdown. An hourly job performs the actual teardown once the stamp is 24 hours old.

Deletion used to be immediate, which makes a mis-click unrecoverable and makes an angry-Monday cancellation permanent. The dialog copy states the contract to the operator: 'the tenant moves to the "Scheduled deletion" list immediately, and you can abandon the action any time inside the window.' The nested-Escape guard in the modal names the worst case it protects against — 'mid-run wipe migration'.
- An immediate delete has no undo, and account deletion is exactly where a mis-click is unrecoverable.
