A pool of referring domains taken from up to eight competitors marked 'high' relevance, deduped, ranked, and annotated with which competitors each one already links to. A junk pattern removes free-host and social domains and the usual TLD noise. Each prospect carries a status — prospect, contacted, acquired, rejected — plus notes, so the list is a workflow and not an export.

- 1referringDomains() pulls up to 150 live referring domains per competitor, excluding internal backlinks, ordered by rank.
- 2A junk pattern drops .ru/.cn/.tk/.xyz/.top/.icu, blogspot, wordpress.com, wixsite, and the big social and platform domains.
- 3Domains are folded into one pool keeping the highest rank seen and the set of competitors they link to.
- 4Rows are upserted on (site_id, domain) so re-mining refreshes the pool rather than duplicating it.
- 5Status and notes are set in the panel; the weekly audit's 'links' proposal points straight at this list.
The gap this closes is named in the audit's link proposal: when the site is short of the next stage's referring-domain gate, the action has to be specific — "Work the Link prospects list (SEO › Link prospects): directories and associations first, then guest posts on the highest-authority prospects." A proposal that says 'get more links' is not an action. Replicating the links a competitor already earned is, and the 'links to which competitors' column is the pitch.
- Link building had no target list, so it never started.
- Outreach lists lived in spreadsheets with no record of who had been contacted.
