Estimate Manager

A master-detail hub for the whole book of estimates: search, sort, filter, assign an owner and a customer, and pull each one into the pipeline as its own opportunity.

What it is

The deliberate replacement for a silent bulk auto-link that used to flood the pipeline with catch-all opportunities. It works entirely on the cached copy so sorting and filtering never touch the estimating vendor's API, with a single 'Pull latest' to refresh on demand. A left list with search, sort and filters; a right panel that edits one estimate or performs bulk actions on many.

How it works
  1. 1Sort by date, price or name; filter by pulled/not pulled, assigned/unassigned owner, has/no contact, active/archived.
  2. 2Assign an employee by email — the durable key, so it works even before that rep exists in the system, and the link backfills when they join.
  3. 3Marry the job to a pipeline contact.
  4. 4Pull an estimate into the pipeline as its own opportunity under the chosen contact and stage.
  5. 5File-system multi-select — click, Shift-click for a range, Cmd/Ctrl-click to toggle, per-row checkbox for touch — then bulk-assign or bulk-pull.
  6. 6Bulk pull still pulls each as its own opportunity; estimates with no linked contact are skipped and reported, never dumped into a catch-all.
Why we built it

An earlier version linked every incoming estimate to a contact automatically and in bulk, which flooded the pipeline with catch-all opportunities nobody had asked for and nobody could tell apart. The manager is the deliberate version: search, sort, filter, assign an owner and a customer, and pull each estimate into the pipeline as its own opportunity when you mean to. It works from a local copy of the book rather than calling the estimating system on every sort and filter, so it stays fast across the hundreds of estimates a builder accumulates and never runs into their rate limits.
