A composer per message covering the in-app message, a dedicated text-message field, and the email's title, body copy and button label, all with insertable token chips. Custom email copy rides the branded generic layout; the designed defaults remain for messages left untouched. 'View email' renders the real branded email with sample values.
Also called: change the wording · edit the automatic email · custom message text · make it sound like me
- 1Custom wording is stored as a notification template keyed ext:<message key>
- 2Custom copy renders through the branded generic layout so it still looks like your business
- 3A per-send note (Send Estimate's 'add a note') still reaches the customer even when custom wording replaced the designed layout
- 4The text field is seeded with the registry's real text version so you edit words rather than face an empty box
- 5An email paragraph is deliberately NOT used as a text fallback
The wording a platform uses with a builder's customers goes out under the builder's name, and default phrasing rarely sounds like them. A text also is not a short email — it has no subject line to lean on and no layout, and it gets read on a lock screen, so it has to name the company up front and say the one thing that matters. Any message's email title, body and button label can be replaced and its text version written separately, seeded with real wording to edit rather than an empty box, with the original always restorable.
- Fixed system wording in the builder's voice
- Email copy reused as a text message
- Previews too small to judge
