Booking a meeting moves the deal

An appointment can hang off a pipeline card, so booking a discovery call or a demo ticks that stage's checklist, writes an audit entry and lights the journey view.

What it is

When a booking names a card, the attendee's details are filled in from the card if they were not supplied, the appointment title is built from the card's name, the stage's protocol step is marked done with who and when, and the card's last-action time updates. Creating an appointment from a card also defaults its type and title from where the deal sits in the pipeline.

How it works
  1. 1A discovery booking ticks the new-lead stage's discovery-booked step; a demo booking ticks the discovery stage's demo-booked step.
  2. 2An audit entry records the booking, attributed to the builder when it came from a booking page and to the staff member otherwise.
  3. 3Stage-to-type and stage-to-title defaults are served to the UI so the create dialog pre-fills correctly.
Why we built it

The library states the intent: 'every appointment can hang off a pipeline card so booking a discovery call or a demo lights the journey and ticks the stage SOP'. Stage defaults are a new lead means a call to reach them; discovery, demo and onboarding mean that meeting.
