The agency panel (who runs your platform)

A separate console where the company behind the software runs every builder account — sales, onboarding, support, billing, health — instead of doing it out of inboxes and spreadsheets.

What it is

Every builder account on the platform is a sub-account, and the agency panel is the one screen where those accounts are opened, set up, watched and helped. It has its own left rail (Accounts, Sales, Growth, Feedback), its own permission model, and its own audit trail. Nothing in it is visible from a builder's own app.

The dark rail (PlatformSidebar.tsx) beside a light Sub-accounts page, with the Accounts / Sales / Growth / Feedback groups and the red unread-lead badge visible. Sample data — no customer information appears here.
How it works
  1. 1Staff sign in and land on Home: what needs a hand today, their tasks, who is owed a call back, and the platform numbers.
  2. 2The left rail groups work the way it actually splits — who our customers are, who we are selling to, what they are telling us, and how the platform is configured.
  3. 3Every rail item is capability-gated, so a support person never sees a link that would only refuse them.
  4. 4The rail stays dark even in light mode so the chrome never blends into the page it opened.
  5. 5Every page it opens is independently gated on the server; hiding a link is a courtesy, never the control.
Why we built it

The panel grew by appending links to the top-right of the dashboard. The sidebar's own comment records the breaking point: 'the only way to reach Clients or the Audit Log was to go back to the dashboard first and find the right button. That is fine at two destinations and stops working at six. The tenant app has always had a rail; the panel we run the business from should not be the one you navigate by memory.'

The problem
  • Running dozens of builder accounts out of an inbox meant nobody could answer 'did we tell them?'
  • Operational work and configuration were reachable from two different places, so the same job had two front doors.
  • New surfaces shipped without being reachable from anywhere.
