The card's activity section merges four sources into one timeline: the audit trail of every action taken on the deal, every message on the thread, completed tasks, and discovery-guide updates. Above it, a colour bar shows where the deal has been, and stage segments reconstruct entered/left/by for each stage from the audit trail.
Also called: deal history · what happened when · activity log · stage history · how long in each stage
- 1Audit rows are translated into plain sentences — 'Moved to Demo', 'Proposal opened by …', 'Checklist: demo booked ✓'.
- 2Messages join with who spoke and a preview.
- 3Stage segments are rebuilt from the recorded moves plus the card's creation, so 'in Discovery for 12d 4h' is derivable without a second table.
- 4Durations render as '2mo 3d', '12d 1h', '8h 58m' — never seconds.
- 5Proposal views appear with the viewer's name and email where they identified themselves.
Built to brief quoted in the API: 'ONE TIMELINE — everything that ever happened to this deal, in order... "the entire transaction from when they came in".' The stage segments mirror the builder-facing Activity timeline so the two surfaces teach each other.
- Actions, messages and stage moves were three separate histories.
- Time-in-stage was not answerable without a dedicated table.
