Time to quote

Median time from a new lead to a real price going out, measured by the first move into an estimate stage.

What it is

A duration metric, lower is better, currently 10% of the score. The 'quote stages' are the two that mean a real price exists — estimate complete and estimate sent. The tooltip cites the count of leads that actually reached a quote, so the figure is not read as covering every lead.

'Time to Quote' card showing bars labelled '20h 3m', with the tooltip line '20h 3m median, across 9 quotes'. MetricCard in LeaderboardView.tsx. Sample data — no customer information appears here.
How it works
  1. 1For each lead, find the first stage move whose destination is a quote stage.
  2. 2Seconds from lead creation to that move is one sample.
  3. 3The rep's metric is the median; the sample count is the number of leads that reached a quote.
Why we built it

Catalog copy: 'Every day a customer waits on a number is another day to call a competitor or cool off… Slow quotes are where good leads quietly leak away — fix this and your close rate climbs without any new leads.' The tip names the mechanism: 'gather what you need on the first call so you can turn a quote around same-day.'

The problem
  • Quote turnaround was invisible and therefore never managed.
  • Leads that never reached a quote silently dragged down any naive average.

What you get
Quoting delay becomes a coachable, ranked number.
The sample is honest about how many leads ever got a price.
