Crew repair tool

Inspect every crew in a builder's account from outside and fix the broken ones — install a lead, move the pending work to a crew that has one, rename, or delete an empty crew.

What it is

A modal that lists each crew with its lead, its members, its pending and active acceptance counts and a problems badge. Four repair actions operate on the data directly so an account can be dug out of a hole its own admin UI cannot reach.

The crew list with a red problems badge on 'no lead, 6 pending', and the Set Lead user picker open beside it. Sample data — no customer information appears here.
How it works
  1. 1Open it from the account's Overview; it lists every crew with a problems flag.
  2. 2Set Lead promotes a chosen user, writes their role and crew onto their account membership, and makes them appear on the customer's Team view.
  3. 3Reassign Acceptances bulk-moves all pending and active assignments from one crew to another in the same account.
  4. 4Rename changes the display name only; the id stays, so nothing else breaks.
  5. 5Delete is offered only when the crew has zero members and zero acceptances.
  6. 6When zero crews come back, the response carries a diagnostic naming which account ids actually hold the data — usually revealing legacy rows under a different id.
Why we built it

The route names the exact bug it was built for: 'the "Shrock Crew has 6 pending acceptances but 0 members and no lead" class of bug — orphaned crews end up holding work that nobody in the tenant can sign off on, so we need a way to fix the data from outside the tenant (the tenant admin's UI can't always get them out of the hole).'

The problem
  • A crew with no lead holds work that no one in the account is able to sign off.
  • The customer's own UI could not reassign work off a broken crew.
  • Legacy rows under a different account id made crews appear to vanish.

What you get
Stuck work is moved to a crew that can accept it in one action.
A crew lead can be installed without waiting for the customer to work out the settings.
The support call ends with the schedule moving again.
