State lien notice picked from the job site

The contract's governing-law state and its statutory notice derive from the property address — Missouri gets the mechanic's-lien warning, Kansas gets the 90-day defect notice, everywhere else gets a neutral clause.

What it is

The state is read from property_info.state (falling back to the mailing address), normalised, and used to fill {{governing_law.state}} and {{governing_law.notice}}. Missouri renders the lien/lien-waiver notice; Kansas renders the 90-days-before-suit repair-opportunity notice; any other state renders 'Lien rights and statutory notices applicable in <state> apply.'

How it works
  1. 1stateRaw = property_info.state || mailing_address.state, uppercased and trimmed.
  2. 2'MO'/'MISSOURI' → Missouri, 'KS'/'KANSAS' → Kansas, anything else passes through, and an empty value becomes 'the state where the project is located'.
  3. 3The matching notice string fills {{governing_law.notice}}; the template places it under its Lien Rights / State Notices heading.
  4. 4The GCS preset carries the full Chapter 429 RSMo lien block as a rendered blockquote.
Why we built it

The library's disclaimer names this exact class of problem — 'Construction contracts vary by state (mechanic's lien notices, prompt-pay laws, licensing disclosures, etc.)' — and the two recognised states are the ones the platform's first builders actually work in. The neutral fallback exists so a contract for an unrecognised state still says something honest rather than nothing.
