Start from a real building

Three complete starting buildings — a 30x40 shop, a 40x60 shouse and a 60x80 clear span — already carrying doors, windows and real steel colours.

What it is

Full serialized BuildingSpecs used as starting models, following SmartBuild's own pattern where starting models are saved jobs. Colours are real SmartBuild GetColors hexes (Charcoal, Light Stone, Polar White, Rustic Red-brown) so a first render looks like an actual steel package rather than RGB primaries.

Preset picker with three cards and their descriptions, and the 40x60 shouse rendered in Light Stone with a Rustic Red-brown wainscot. Sample data — no customer information appears here.
How it works
  1. 1Each preset carries its openings, bay and truss spacing, eave height and pitch.
  2. 2Presets were authored against structural lines, so they are migrated (not reinterpreted) into S618 — the buildings come out byte-for-byte identical while the names stay nominal, because that is how builders talk.
  3. 3Loading a preset is a single undo entry.
Why we built it

A parametric tool that opens on a blank grid is a wall of empty fields, and the first thing it asks a builder to do is guess. It opens instead on real buildings — a 30x40 shop, a 40x60 shouse, a 60x80 clear span — already finished in real manufacturer colours, because a render in primary colours reads as a toy and the first image the tool produces is the one a builder judges it on.

The problem
  • Cold-start friction; a first design that looks nothing like a delivered building.

What you get
A credible building on screen in one click.
Nominal names (30x40 Shop) stay the language, exact S618 numbers stay the data.
