A scrolling feed under the SOP panels. Each note shows which step it belonged to, which stage, the customer's name if known, when it was written and by whom. Notes are captured from the transition snapshot, so they persist after the deal has moved on and the live checklist has reset.
Also called: why the deal stalled · rep notes on checklist · what they wrote on the step · note on a follow-up · left a voicemail note · why didn't this step happen
- 1The protocol snapshot on each stage move carries a note, a note author and a note timestamp per step.
- 2Notes are trimmed to 500 characters, sorted newest first, and the top 40 are returned.
- 3The note count also appears inline beside the step's completion bar as a ✎ badge.
Stage protocol state resets on advance, so anything a rep wrote in the moment used to be gone the instant the deal progressed. The snapshot in migration 177 preserved it; the analytics panel is where that record becomes readable — the (i) copy says 'Notes are what reps wrote under steps — they survive stage moves.'
- In-the-moment context vanished on stage advance.
- Skipped steps had no explanation attached.
