Draw your initials once, then tap each section

One sticky pad at the top of the agreement: draw your initials once, then tap 'Tap to initial' on each clause as you read it.

What it is

A signature pad in a brand-outlined card that sticks below the top bar while the long agreement scrolls. Each section's slot shows either a 'Tap to initial' button (disabled with 'Draw initials at top first' until there's ink) or the stamped initials with an 'undo' link. The pad is full-width and grows at the desktop breakpoint.

The sticky brand-bordered pad card with the instruction line and the '4 / 13 initialed' chip, over the scrolling waiver. Sample data — no customer information appears here.
How it works
  1. 1The pad renders only when the contract requires initials and isn't yet signed.
  2. 2applyInitial(id) serialises the current pad drawing and records { image, at: new Date().toISOString() } for that section — 'recording a per-section timestamp — intentional, evidenced acknowledgment'.
  3. 3Undo removes a single section's initial without clearing the pad.
  4. 4The pad is sized 'Roomy, full-width so a finger (mobile) or mouse (desktop) has space to draw accurate initials.'
  5. 5It is print-hidden; only the stamped results print.
Why we built it

Redrawing initials thirteen times on a phone is how a waiver flow dies at clause four. The design is described in the code as 'a single shared "draw your initials" pad (top of the contract) the customer stamps onto each required section by tapping it', kept sticky 'so it stays reachable while scrolling the long agreement'.

The problem
  • Repeated drawing on a small screen
  • Customers abandoning long initialed waivers
  • Losing an initial with no way to redo just that one
