Type two or more characters and the box scores an index of every settings destination — not just tab names but the sections inside them (Trust Strip, Carrier approval, Danger zone, yard price list). Picking a result switches to the tab and then either scrolls the section into view or clicks the sub-tab.

- 1SEARCH_INDEX declares, per tab, the category, the sub-tabs and the section titles that mirror each tab's data-toc headings.
- 2Matches are ranked so a hit at the start of the thing itself beats a hit in the middle, and tabs outrank sections.
- 3On select, SettingsView sets the tab, waits for it to mount, then queries [data-toc=...] or [data-subtab=...] and scrolls or clicks it.
Built in the IA pass alongside the category redesign: reorganising tabs only helps someone who already knows the new shape, and the retired tab names (Rates & Usage, Lead Access, Stage Automations) had to keep working as search words so people who learned the old layout still land somewhere. The index deliberately carries words a builder types — 2x6, yard price list, texting approval — rather than component names.
