A custom context menu with two halves: PLATFORM (main views plus a people search that jumps to a person's contact, pipeline card, estimate or 3D building) and SETTINGS (the five categories, each hovering open a fly-out of its tabs). It reads the same settings registry and the same search index as the Settings screen, and respects the same gating.
Also called: command palette · right click menu · quick nav · jump to anything
- 1Right-click is intercepted except inside inputs, textareas and contenteditable, or when Shift is held — those keep the browser's native menu.
- 2Copy stays at the very top when text is selected.
- 3Settings categories come from SETTINGS_GROUPS filtered by visibleSettingsTabs; clicking a tab navigates to its hash.
- 4A person row offers the same jumps the estimate screens already use, greying out any jump with nothing behind it so the row shape never moves.
Logged as the right-click menu IS the navigation. The registry file records that the Command Portal navigates the same list SettingsView renders, so a tab can never exist in one nav and not the other — including the 3D Builder, which the right-click menu could not reach before.
- Reaching a settings tab meant navigating to Settings first, then hunting the chip rows.
- Finding a person's estimate or pipeline card required three separate screens.
