Saved signature and one-click counter-signing

Save your legal name and drawn signature once, and counter-signing a contract becomes a single deliberate click.

What it is

A signature pad in My Profile that stores the person's legal name and drawn signature. With it saved, an Auto-Sign button appears on the counter-sign reminder banner and a Sign this contract button inside the counter-sign modal. A toggle turns those one-click surfaces off while keeping the signature; Remove deletes it entirely.

How it works
  1. 1The signature is drawn on a canvas and stored with the person's full name via /api/user-signature.
  2. 2A toggle controls whether one-click signing surfaces appear; the saved signature stays either way.
  3. 3Saving broadcasts so any open surface offering one-click signing resyncs immediately rather than waiting for a reload.
  4. 4Removal is behind a branded confirm.
Why we built it

Recorded as with migration 181. Counter-signing every contract meant retyping a name and redrawing a signature, which is friction on the step that turns a signed customer contract into a live job.

The problem
  • Counter-signing required redrawing a signature every time.
  • There was no way to keep a saved signature while disabling one-click signing.
