A one-click control that posts straight to the call queue and gets out of the way, and a hand-off panel that assigns the call to another team member with a note and an urgency. Because it fires from a contact, it passes the contact id, so the resulting task is linked to the right person.
Also called: add to call list · remind me to call them · assign this call · hand off a call
- 1Posts phone, name, contactId, note and urgency to /api/comms/queue
- 2The hand-off panel loads org members and assigns the task to the chosen person
- 3Portaled and positioned from the trigger so it works inside modals
- 4Note and urgency remain available in the dock for the one call that needs them
Building tomorrow's call list is something builders do in the evening, going down the pipeline or the contact list deciding who to ring — but adding someone meant opening the phone with their number staged and confirming, so fifteen people meant fifteen round trips. Anything added that way also arrived as a bare phone number with no contact attached to it. A Queue call button now sits on contacts and pipeline cards, adds the person in one click without opening the phone, and can hand the call to a teammate with the context attached.
- Multi-step queueing that discourages bulk planning
- Queue entries not linked to the customer record
- No way to delegate a call with its context
