Four products with their own defaults and colours — fiberglass batt, open-cell foam, closed-cell foam and rigid board — chosen per wall with a thickness from a real ladder (1, 2, 3, 3.5, 5, 5.5, 7 inches). Roof insulation is separate and inherits each roof face's own plane.

- 1Any wall with no override follows the building default; a per-wall override records the departure.
- 2The fill is drawn to scale inside the girt cavity, stopping short of the eave and sitting inside the post line so it never shares a face with a post, jamb or strut.
- 3Gable-family end walls carry the SAME silhouette as the steel gable skin — triangle, gambrel pentagon, monitor profile or shed — with the rakes pulled in so the fill never flashes at the eave or barge.
- 4Roof insulation copies each steel face and seats under it along that face's own inward normal, rather than reconstructing midpoints independently.
- 5Measured square feet are net of openings; the note reports per-wall thickness, product and board-feet.
- 6The right-click menu offers this-wall toggle, product, thickness and an all-walls toggle, each showing the priced quantity.
Post-frame shops routinely insulate the heated shop or the living end and leave the equipment bay, the lean-to, or a gable that is mostly overhead door uninsulated, and a single building-wide toggle cannot express the job being sold — so it gets quoted wrong in both directions. Insulation is chosen per wall and per roof section. It is drawn at its real thickness rather than labelled with an R-value, so a customer standing inside can see what the upgrade takes out of the room, and the fill sits inside the steel's own plane rather than being rebuilt separately, which is what once painted a yellow slab across the outside of the building.
- All-or-nothing insulation that cannot describe a real job.
- Insulation area guessed rather than measured net of openings.
