What it is

A catalogue of real Western States Metal Roofing products (7/8in corrugated, Western Lock snap-lock seam, PBR/R-Panel, Wave Panel, Board & Batten, T-8 Plank Wall, Wes-Trix, Western Reveal / T-Groove 1.0/2.0/3.0) with scanned PBR maps, physical tile sizes from each download's metadata, profile family, and the roofing system each answers to. Plus the manufacturer's complete published colour range, split into flat paint colours with representative swatches and printed/textured specialty finishes.

How it works
  1. 1Selecting a product also sets the roofing system to that product's system, so slope rules and the takeoff stay honest.
  2. 2The renderer tiles at TRUE scale from the scan metadata, never stretched.
  3. 3Baked-colour finishes (wood grains, rusts) ship their own colour, so the paint swatches do not apply to them.
  4. 4searchPanelProducts() does a token-AND search over name, family, scan colour and use.
  5. 5Roof features are drawn as REAL instanced geometry (seam legs, major ribs, shingle course steps) on the same world grid the shader detail rides, with a shingle course cut and staggered rather than drawn as one 40ft strip.
Why we built it

A roof rendered as a flat texture reads as a placeholder, and a customer choosing between standing seam and shingle cannot see what the extra money buys. Panel profiles are modelled — ribs, seams, and shingle courses cut and staggered rather than run as one continuous strip. Finishes with no published paint spec are not faked with a flat colour; they wait for their real texture, because approximating a specialty finish is showing a customer something they will not receive.
