A manual claim path for jobs that arrived with no intent behind them. It performs exactly the same bonding as the automatic match, reusing a free opportunity on that contact or creating one, and it records that the bond was manual.
Also called: attach this job to a customer · orphan estimate · manual bind
- 1The triage tray lists jobs with no contact bond.
- 2Pick the contact; the job is stamped onto their opportunity.
- 3A job someone else already bonded returns the existing bond rather than duplicating it.
- 4The action is audit-logged as a manual bind.
Automatic matching is deliberately conservative: when several estimates are open against similar names it refuses to guess, because a silently wrong bond puts one customer's price on another customer's record and nobody finds out until the contract. The ones it won't decide land in a triage tray where the rep who knows picks the contact explicitly — the same bond, with a record that a person made the call rather than a rule.
- Un-bonded estimates with no way to attach them without a data fix
