Master switch with undo

Three one-click sweeps — everything off, email off, everything back on — each confirmed in plain language and each undoable to the exact prior state.

What it is

A control above the matrix offering all-off, email-off and all-on. Each sweep explains its consequence before running: all-off says nobody gets emails or in-app alerts until you turn them back on and that subscriptions are kept; email-off says in-app bell alerts keep working exactly as they do now.

Also called: turn off all notifications · stop the emails · quiet everything · make it all stop · turn off all emails · silence everything · bulk notification off

Solves
2 named problems
01The sweep writes all rows in a single batched database call, not one per event.
02An exact pre-sweep snapshot is captured so Undo restores what was there rather than a guess.
03Channel flags are cleared but role subscriptions are preserved.
The master-switch row with its confirm dialog open, and the Undo pill that appears after a sweep. Sample data — no customer information appears here.
How it works
  1. 1The sweep writes all rows in a single batched database call, not one per event.
  2. 2An exact pre-sweep snapshot is captured so Undo restores what was there rather than a guess.
  3. 3Channel flags are cleared but role subscriptions are preserved.
Why we built it

The comment states the problem it solves: 'The matrix is deliberately exhaustive, which makes just make it all stop a 40-click chore.' The snapshot exists because an undo that reconstructs a default is not an undo.

The problem
  • Silencing notifications required dozens of individual toggles.
  • There was no way back to the previous configuration.

What you get
Everything can be silenced in one click and restored exactly.
Email can be silenced while in-app alerts keep working.
