A measure mode that pins point A and point B on wall or roof surfaces, draws a tape between them with A/B chips, and prints the distance in a readout above the viewport. The tape's shaft is drawn depth-test off so it stays visible against a dark standing-seam roof.

A parametric model already knows every dimension, but the ones that come up mid-conversation — door head to eave, post to post across an opening, clear height under a porch beam — are not fields in any panel. The tape measures between any two points you click, so those answers come off the model instead of out of a mental estimate, and no new readout has to be invented for each question a customer asks.
- Arbitrary dimensions that are not spec fields have no way to be read off the model.
