A live organic results call to a depth of 100 for a keyword in a named location and language. It finds the entry matching the tracked domain (ignoring the www prefix), returning position and found URL, plus the top ten results so a rep can see who is actually there.

- 1A tracked keyword, domain, location and language are supplied.
- 2The live organic endpoint is queried to depth 100.
- 3The matching organic entry is located by domain, normalised for the www prefix.
- 4Position, ranking URL, the top-ten snapshot and the call cost are returned.
- 5Results are stored per keyword and date so movement over time is visible.
Built as part of the SEO module (Keith 08-19) so ranking is measured rather than assumed. Rank checks are the expensive part of the daily sweep — the standalone sitemap job exists precisely because 'rank checks cost real money per keyword'.
- Ranking was unmeasured, so content work could not be evaluated.
- The competitive picture for a term was invisible.
