Volume, difficulty and seasonality per keyword

Batch keyword metrics return monthly search volume, difficulty and cost per click, plus a twelve-month seasonal profile folded into a January-to-December shape.

What it is

Two batch calls: one for volume and difficulty, one that additionally folds the trailing twelve months of monthly search volume into a calendar-month profile so seasonality can be read directly. Both accept up to several hundred keywords per call.

A twelve-bar seasonal profile per keyword with the peak months highlighted, beside volume and difficulty chips. Sample data — no customer information appears here.
How it works
  1. 1A batch of keywords, a location and a language are supplied.
  2. 2Volume, difficulty and cost per click are extracted per keyword.
  3. 3For seasonality, the monthly series is sorted by year and month and the latest value per calendar month wins.
  4. 4A keyword with no monthly data returns null rather than a fabricated flat line.
Why we built it

Part of the SEO module's rolling seasonal planning: knowing when demand for a term actually peaks is what makes a content calendar meaningful rather than arbitrary.

The problem
  • Keyword selection was guesswork.
  • Seasonal demand was invisible, so content landed out of season.

What you get
Terms can be chosen on real volume and realistic difficulty.
Seasonal peaks are visible as a twelve-month shape.
Missing data reads as missing, not as zero demand.
