A per-field list of colours marked unavailable, surviving the customer's re-picks. When the live colour appears in that list the panel raises a pulsing Conflict badge naming the colour and offering both fixes — change the colour or lift the restriction.
Also called: colour is discontinued · supplier is out of that colour · restrict colours
- 1Open the restrictions manager on any colour field and select the colours to disable.
- 2Sending an empty list lifts all restrictions for that field; omitting the field entirely leaves them as they were.
- 3The list is de-duplicated and sanitised server-side.
- 4The customer's picker sees the same unavailable set on its next load.
A discontinued or back-ordered colour has to reach the customer's picker before they choose it, not after the order has been placed and the yard says no. Specific colours can be taken off the table for a job, and when a restriction is added after the customer has already picked that colour, it is flagged immediately rather than sitting silently against a choice everyone believes is settled.
