The customer signs on the change order document itself, inside the dashboard, with the exact agreement text frozen onto the signature record.

What it is

A sign flow rendered inside the dashboard's document modal. When a change order is awaiting the customer, the signature inputs live inside section 6 of the document, so they sign on the agreement rather than beside it. Signing requires an authorisation checkbox, a typed name matching the owner name exactly, and drawn ink.

How it works

  2. 2The agreement as the customer saw it is assembled into a plain-text block and sent with the signature
  3. 3POST /api/client-portal/change-orders/sign records the name, the signature image and that frozen text
  4. 4The card's Pending pill flips to Approved in place and a thank-you banner confirms authorisation to proceed
Why we built it

A change order that has to be printed, signed and posted back stops the crew until it returns, and on a live build that is a day of standing around. The customer approves and signs it on their dashboard without leaving the page. The agreement text is frozen into the signature record exactly as the customer saw it, so editing the template afterwards can never rewrite what was agreed to.
