The crew has to acknowledge the new scope

An approved change order must be acknowledged by the crew lead before they can mark later stages complete.

What it is

A gate between approval and execution. The change order's status is unaffected, but the crew lead's acknowledgement is required before subsequent stages can be signed off — so a scope change cannot be approved in the office and missed on site.

How it works
  1. 1acknowledgeChangeOrder stamps crew_acknowledged_at and crew_acknowledged_by.
  2. 2The gate applies to marking subsequent stages complete, not to the change order itself.
  3. 3It is separate from the customer signature — two different people confirming two different things.
Why we built it

Change orders get agreed in the office while the crew on site keeps building to the drawing they were handed, and the first anyone notices is a wall in the wrong place. The crew lead has to acknowledge the new scope before they can mark any further stage complete, so the change reaches the people holding the tools instead of sitting in a folder.
