What it is
Seven appointment types, each with its own tag colour, layered on eight per-person chip colours. Personal Google events render as a hatched grey block. Filters exist for both person and type.
Also called: colour coded calendar · whose appointment is this · what type of meeting
See it
How it works
- 1Host colours are assigned from a fixed palette; type colours are fixed per kind.
- 2Both filter sets are multi-select, with empty meaning all.
- 3All-day Google events render as 'All day' rather than a start time.
Why we built it
The tag is annotated 'Short tag shown on every chip so the TYPE reads at a glance ' — colour alone could not carry both who and what.
The problem
- One colour trying to encode two facts
