Drag an appointment to move it

Drag to another day in month view or another time in day and week view, Google-style — and grab anywhere else to pan the grid.

What it is

Appointments are draggable; the hour grid accepts drops at a time. Panning is a separate gesture that ignores drags starting on a chip or a button and swallows the click that would otherwise follow, so panning across a day never opens the create dialog. Google-sourced personal events are not draggable here — they are changed in Google and sync back.

A chip mid-drag across the hour grid with the drop time indicated. platform/calendar/page.tsx. Sample data — no customer information appears here.
How it works
  1. 1A move posts the new start; the appointment updates and re-syncs to Google.
  2. 2Pan tracks pointer delta against the container's scroll position with a small threshold.
  3. 3A moved appointment retains its lifecycle stamps.
Why we built it

The header names the standard being met: 'Drag an appointment to another day (month) or another time (day/week) — Google-style.' The click-swallowing exists because panning and creating share the same surface.

The problem
  • Rescheduling through a form
  • Pan gestures triggering creation

What you get
Move a meeting in one gesture
