A metered-provider allowlist. Only providers the platform is invoiced per message by are billable. A business sending through a CRM subscription they already pay for is not charged per message, because there is no cost to recover.

- 1The allowlist is applied before pricing; excluded rows are counted and reported as 'carried by a bundled provider'.
- 2The same exclusion governs what the tenant's own usage screen shows, so the screen and the invoice cannot disagree.
- 3A business whose traffic moves onto a metered provider starts being metered from that moment, not retroactively.
Some businesses send through a CRM subscription they are already paying for, which costs us nothing per message — so billing them per message would be inventing a cost. That was caught the hard way: on one account, 175 of 176 logged emails had gone out through the CRM, and the first version of the metering sweep would have invoiced every one of them. Messages sent on a channel the business already pays for are excluded, and only usage that genuinely costs something is billed on.
