One search box filters every stage at once. A card matches when the whole query appears as a contiguous run of text inside a single field, so typing more characters always narrows. Each matching card grows a small chip naming the field and value that matched, including fields the card face never shows, like email.

Search used to match loose words across every field mashed together, so typing a customer's name returned deals that merely shared a word with it. The whole query now has to appear as a run of text inside a single field, and every result carries a chip naming which field it hit — name, business, rep, value, source, notes, phone, email, tag or date. Without that chip, a card that matched on an email nobody could see looked like a bug.
