Document_version_selection stores the pinned version per (org, component). The portal resolver honours the pin absolutely, provided the pinned version is a customer-visible send. A selection pointing at anything else is treated as leftover state, not a choice.
Also called: make this version live · revert to an earlier quote · selected version
- 1'Make selected' writes the pin; default behaviour with no pin is the freshest customer-visible version.
- 2The resolver: 'An EXPLICIT PIN always wins. If the rep chose a version in the Versions UI and that version is a customer-visible send, that is what the customer sees, full stop — including when it is deliberately an older one. Choosing is the whole point of the feature.'
- 3A stale pin is ignored: 'A selection row that points at a version which is not a customer-visible send is not a pin — it is leftover state, and treating it as a choice would freeze the portal on whatever happened to be latest at the time.'
- 4Once the customer has approved, the version they approved is badged and make-live/re-send actions are disabled.
The approval lock is stated in the modal's props: 'The customer has APPROVED this estimate (filled the portal form). When true the estimate is locked: the version they approved is badged, and make-live / re-send actions are disabled (changing what an approved customer sees is a re-negotiation, not a quiet edit).'
- No way to deliberately show an earlier document
- Stale selection rows silently freezing the customer's view
- Quiet edits to what an approved customer sees
