A banner at the top of the Materials tab counting the lines that priced to nothing, with a click straight through to Settings → Builder prices. The underlying takeoffSellTotal returns not just the total but how many lines priced, how many did not, and which usages were missing.
Also called: missing prices · unpriced materials · why is my total low
- 1lineSellTotal returns null when the book has no row for a usage
- 2takeoffSellTotal collects the distinct unpriced usages
- 3The Materials tab renders the banner when the count is above zero
- 4Individual rows render 'No price' in place of a figure
From the comment: 'Naming what went unpriced turns "the total looks low" into "these lines have no price" — the failure that hid for as long as it did precisely because a missing key costs zero and says nothing.'
- A silently-zero line is indistinguishable from a cheap one
- Nobody knows which row to fix
