The bottom of the estimate summarised the whole price as one word and one number, which is no use to a builder defending it on the phone or to a customer asking why it moved. The reconciliation panel now lists every material category, every labour line, every service, colour upgrades and each markup rule, adding up to the customer total — every single thing that contributes to that figure, itemised.
