Snooze chips in the focus modal offer relative pushes from now. Snoozing moves due_at and remind_at together and re-arms the reminder so it fires again at the new time.
Also called: push it back · remind me later · not now · defer a task
- 1Choices are computed from now: +1 hour, Tonight 6pm (only if it is still ahead), and Tomorrow keeping the task's own time of day.
- 2The PATCH sets both dueAt and remindAt, which clears reminded_at server-side.
- 3The change is optimistic in the list.
The comment draws a careful boundary: these are 'relative-to-NOW pushes on a task whose time the user already picked — not time-of-day suggestions (those stay learned-history-only, per the standing rule)'. The standing rule is: the product must never recommend arbitrary times.
- A fired reminder had no way to come back
- Deferring meant retyping a date and time
