Open a day

Click a calendar day to see its tasks in a modal you can walk forward and back through, with an Add button for that day.

What it is

A modal listing the day's tasks with time, priority, client label and assignee. Arrow buttons step to the previous or next day; on a phone a horizontal swipe does the same. Clicking a task opens the focus modal; clicking an empty day opens the composer pre-seeded with that date.

The day modal with prev/next arrows, the long-form date, and three task rows with times. TaskHub.tsx. Sample data — no customer information appears here.
How it works
  1. 1Tapping a day with tasks opens the modal; tapping an empty day goes straight to the composer with that day seeded.
  2. 2Day navigation rebuilds the date key and re-renders in place, so you never leave the modal.
  3. 3Touch start/end x-positions over 60px trigger day-to-day navigation.
Why we built it

A calendar cell can only show a handful of pills before it truncates; the modal is where the rest of a busy day lives, and stepping day to day inside it avoids the close-open-close loop.

The problem
  • Truncated day cells hid tasks
  • Adding to a chosen day meant retyping the date
