A form with project, stage, date, amount, an optional number of people on site, and a note. The amount field is labelled Hours or Units, using the crew's own unit label where one is set. Submissions are recorded against the chosen task and stage name.

Subs in this trade are paid both ways — hourly for some, per square or per bay for others — so a single hours field would have been wrong for half of them and produced job costs nobody trusted. Each entry is logged as hours or as units against a specific stage of a specific project. Attributing labour to a phase rather than to a job in aggregate is what makes it possible to see which part of the build actually ran over.
