Stripe card payments setup

Paste your own Stripe key so customers can pay invoices by card — the funds and the fees are yours, and the webhook creates itself.

What it is

A credential card for the builder's own Stripe account, with a currency choice of CAD or USD and an optional webhook signing secret. When connected it states plainly that customers can pay by card and invoices mark paid automatically, with nothing else to set up.

How it works
  1. 1The secret or restricted key is pasted; the card recommends a Restricted key scoped to Checkout Sessions and Webhooks as the safest option.
  2. 2Leaving the webhook secret blank is the intended path — saving creates the webhook in the tenant's Stripe account automatically.
  3. 3The card explains that the webhook only covers the rare case where a customer closes the tab mid-payment.
  4. 4Local testing instructions are given inline for the stripe listen command.
Why we built it

Card payments are the difference between an invoice being paid this week or next month, but Stripe setup normally requires a developer. The card carries the reassurance a builder actually needs — 'Funds and Stripe's fees are yours — the platform takes nothing' — and removes the hardest step by creating the webhook for them.
