A bar controlled by an IntersectionObserver on the approval section. It appears only while that section is out of view and scrolls the customer to it. On an already-approved estimate it changes to a continue action instead.
Also called: floating CTA · approve button follows me
- 1An IntersectionObserver watches the approve section at a 0.1 threshold
- 2The bar shows when the section is not intersecting
- 3Tapping smooth-scrolls the approval block into the centre of the viewport
The estimate is a long scrolling document and buyers decide somewhere in the middle of it — over the payment schedule, or while turning the model around. On a phone the approve button was several screens away from wherever that happened, so a ready customer had to go hunting for it. A slim bar follows them down the page and gets out of the way as soon as the real approval block is on screen.
- A single call to action stranded at the bottom of a long document
