A guarded action that marks the order sourced elsewhere and stamps that station on its journey. The order stays on the record with everything recorded against it. An undo button removes both the flag and the journey entry.
Also called: supplier cancelled · buying it somewhere else · supplier can't supply
- 1A ConfirmDialog gates the action
- 2The journey gets a sourced_elsewhere station and the card shows an amber banner
- 3Undo clears the flag AND filters that step out of the journey
- 4The action is only offered on an order that has not been delivered
Two comments. Why it exists: 'The supplier can't fulfil and you're buying elsewhere. Rare, but it is a real ending and needs somewhere to live other than a note nobody reads.' Why it is guarded: '"Supplier can't fulfil" rewrites the order's ending, and hit it by accident — a single stray click should not be able to do that.' And why undo removes the journey entry too: 'otherwise the timeline keeps claiming something that did not happen.'
- A real outcome with no status becomes a note nobody reads
- A destructive click with no way back
