A direct editor over the estimating engine's own pricing table. Every SKU shows its cost, price, unit of measure and selling unit; margin is computed and colour-coded; edits are staged and saved in a batch.
Also called: edit SKU prices · margin report · zero price items · cost and price by SKU
- 1Load pricing, search by SKU, selling unit or UOM.
- 2Filter to All, Modified, Zero Price, High Margin or Low Margin.
- 3Click a cost or price cell to edit it in place; modified rows are tracked until saved.
- 4Margin is recomputed live from the effective (edited) values.
A SKU sitting at zero is invisible in a total and is the direct cause of a short quote — nobody notices until the yard's invoice arrives and the margin has already gone. The price manager puts cost and price for every SKU in one searchable grid and flags the three things that cost money: zero-priced items, margin under 20%, and margin over 40%, which is usually a typo rather than a good day. Auditing a price book stops being a spreadsheet export and becomes a screen you work down.
- Price-book gaps only discovered when a quote comes back wrong
