A per-item flag. A sized service's lines carry a descriptive width and height — it names which door this line is and never feeds the arithmetic, because a 9×8 door costs what the builder says it costs, not 72 of something. Custom-quoted lines also carry a quantity that multiplies the price each.

- 2The size prints on the line and in the customer-facing measurement label ('9′ × 8′').
- 3On a custom line, the price is the price EACH and the quantity multiplies it.
- 4Quantity floors at 1, so a legacy row that carries 0 or nothing can never silently become $0 on a page a customer has already seen.
A builder quoting two 9x8 garage doors and one 16x8 had to either add the same line three times or do the multiplication in his head and type the result, which is exactly the arithmetic an estimate exists to stop him doing. Services that come in a size now carry a width, a height and a count, so three 9x8 doors is one line that prints its own dimensions and quantity.
