How they're paying, on the record

Cash, loan, insurance settlement or other — plus the lender and loan number when funds are held by a third party.

What it is

Two intake sections: Source of Funds (cash / loan / insurance / other, plus a details field) and Lender Info (lender name, loan number, contact). The contract renders {{customer.source_of_funds}} as an uppercased source with details appended, and {{customer.lender_info_clause}} as 'The funds are held by <lender> (loan #<number>).' when a lender is named.

Also called: source of funds · lender info · financed job · insurance settlement job · construction loan

The Source of Funds selector and Lender block in the form, with the resulting 'The funds are held by …' clause highlighted in the rendered contract. Sample data — no customer information appears here.
How it works
  1. 1Enable Source of Funds (on by default) and Lender Info (off by default) in Settings.
  2. 2The customer picks the source and, if financed, names the lender.
  3. 3buildContractContext() composes the lender clause only when a lender name exists, otherwise it renders empty.
  4. 4The Review & Send panel lists Lender, Loan # and Contact so the builder sees the financing before releasing the contract.
Why we built it

Materials on a post-frame job are ordered against a payment the builder has not received yet. The clause exists so the document states who is actually holding the money, and the intake section is off by default because builders who never finance jobs shouldn't have to ask.

The problem
  • Discovering mid-build that funds sit with a third party
  • No lender contact on file when a draw stalls

What you get
Funding source stated in the signed document
